One thing was certain: the sing-along chorus of “baby I don’t love you anymore” was sung aloud, but not directed towards Rosenstock in the least. The fans, me in particular, would never utter such words directed at Jeff.

After the nine songs, and half-hour set (free of charge, in typical BTMI fashion), I shouted out my love to Jeff, thinking he would leave immediately after. He turned around and acknowledged me in a very sensual way that caused my body to melt with joy.

I actually witnessed this.  I was standing between where Jeff was and where the kid who screamed "I love you Jeff!" was standing.  Let's just say, "very sensual" is not how I would have described it.  I would have described it as incredibly and slightly frightening.

Some fans of mine creep me out, too.  Luckily I'm not as good a songwriter as Jeff or Tomas, so there's many many fewer of them.  But yeah, some kids are creeps.

it might seem creepy but i'm sure these kids have nothing but good intentions. they love jeff and the music he makes, and they probably want nothing more than to just chat with him and exchage hugs. i know when i've spoken to jeff before it's just been cause i had no idea what to say. it's cute.

theres a difference though.. theres kids who really love his music, and are moved by it, and whatnot... but can manage to keep a little composure about the whole situation. For instance my wife is a huge BTMI! fan, her car stereo has pretty much been taken up by btmi cds and nothing but for over 6 months now... she doesn't pee her pants when she runs into jeff.

a grown man likening talking to Jeff to sexual experience is pretty damn insane.. Jeff's just a normal dude, a dude who happens to be a brilliant songwriter, but just a normal dude nonetheless.

Jeff is just rediculously too modest.

He somewhat ly turned around.  I think he waved.  It wasn't that , yeah.  Jeff is usually the first to admit he's not good at taking compliments.  So, when someone finds an way to compliment him, it becomes compounded by the ness of Jeff receiving a compliment.

I was standing outside watching people make Jeff sign stuff at Looney Tunes.  It was pretty amusing, but Jeff actually really seemed to be having fun with it.  It was nice to see, but it's funny when people I know, as flood put it, as "normal dudes" become viewed as rockstars.

...every time I see Jim Conti and/or Mike Soprano, I laugh at them for this.

I used to always be afraid to talk to Jeff because I didn't want it to be . But once I talked to him I realized that he's way less than 90% of my friends. He is really a normal, cool dude.

Jeff is totally overrated, not as a songwriter, but as a normal, cool dude.

On last week's episode of Big Love, the oldest son had an Atom and His Package poster in his room. I was delighted!

i read this review and it was one of the funniest things i have ever read. i must admit some past 'infatuation' with BTMI, but I don't think even when i was at my craziest over the band, i ever felt 'love' or anything that creepy for anyone involved.

a lot of people's reactions to btmi weird me out. i mean, i know people that are really crazy about a lot of different bands, but... i don't think ive ever seen anyone be as creepy as some of the people that are all about btmi.

although to be fair my palms get all sweaty and i dont know what to say whenever i run into matt wixson.

so last night jeff told me that every time he sees me I look more grown up.  I later told him i was gonna email his stalker and tell him that he told me that.  he proceeded to put his head in his hands in disgust.
